What kind of shows can I broadcast on the
Community Access Channel 10 ?
|
The freedom of speech is alive and well in community broadcasting ! However, there are a few considerations that must be taken when producing programming.
|
|
1. Any shows that are aired on Channel 10 must be in compliance
with all Federal, State and Local laws.
2. Broadcast time is for non-commercial programming only. Therefore the following types of shows will not be aired.
|
- Shows designed to promote or sell any type of product and / or service, or that identifies any product, service, or trademark in a way that is not reasonably related to non-commercial use.
- Solicitation for funds or other items of value for any and all purposes (however, major contributors of grants or aid in the production of a program may be mentioned in a tactful manner, unrelated to the commercial interest of the donor).
- Programs containing material which is defined as obscene by county law.
- Promotions for any lottery or gambling enterprise which is in violation of any local laws.
- Any material which has a reasonable probability of creating an immediate danger to property injury to persons or of creating a public nuisance.
- Material which has a reasonable probability of causing the substantial obstruction of law enforcement or other governmental functions or services.
